I think most people know the value of coffee grounds as compost, adding nutrients to the soil and improving the growth potential of plants (just be careful about using too much caffeine, lest you wind up making them as rowdy as those seagulls). However, I’m guessing you didn’t know that used coffee grounds are actually an excellent cleaning agent. For instance, you can use those coffee grounds to make soap.  It will remove many caked in substances – most likely because what the dirt really wants is some coffee for itself.

Okay, maybe you knew that one.  Did you know that coffee grounds can be made into clothing? According to the company, coffee grinds from one cup of coffee can be used to make two t-shirts.  Not only that, but you get to have one of your favorite things rubbing up against your skin all day.  It’s like a massage, only it lasts all day!

Coffee is also a great deodorizer, either in bean or ground form – though if you are going to use the grounds you’ll want to dry them out first.  The wonderful aroma of coffee tends to overpower most lesser smells, as they submit to the awesomeness that is coffee.  Here’s a great how-to.

This last one, I found online – and I’m not convinced that it really works – so if you have any experience with this please comment below.  Apparently, coffee grounds work great for removing cellulite. That’s right ladies, drink a cup of Boca Java and then use the leftovers to trim away at the bane of your physical existence.  Take a look at this article for instructions – according to the comments here it really does work.

   You can do much more of a 180 from the Coffee Song.  This is the amended version – there’s an explicit version also, but Boca Java is family friendly.

   Yes, we’re giving Sinatra his own genre here.  Is there anyone quite like him?

   They like their men like they like their coffee. Do you?
5. Black Coffee by Peggy Lee (Jazz)
   If you like sultry jazz, and you like black coffee, you’re bound to like this song.
6. Black Coffee by Heavy D. and the Boyz (Rap)
   Similar to Supersister, Heavy D. likes his women like he likes his coffee.
7. Smellin’ Coffee by Chris Rice (Alternative)
   Has more of a country twang to it, but its got a good pace and it’s got a focus on coffee, which automatically makes it awesome.
8. Coffee Beans by Itamar Sagi (Techno)
   No lyrics to this one, but if you focus hard enough on the sound, I bet you’ll smell the beans.
9. One More Cup of Coffee by Bob Dylan (70’s Pop)
   It’s Dylan.
10. Coffee and Deep by Gianluca Corvesi (Dance / Electronica)
    No lyrics to be found here either, but the song is going to be released on a charity album that donates money to Haiti.  You can find it on Amazon here.  If you like electronic dance, this one’s for you.
11. What I Want is a Proper Cup Of Coffee by Trout Fishing In America (Folk)
    This is a light, fun song about something we all want.

    The people who actually work to provide us with delicious coffee, singing on the job.  Beautiful.

    No religion in this song, just a solid ode to black gold.
14. “Coffee Cantata” BWV211 – Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht…Hat man nicht mit seinen Kindern by Emma Kirby (Classical)
    This is a performance of a score by J.S. Bach. Yes, even he was inspired by coffee.

A second study is now underway using a swallowed sensor that measures the stomachs pH (acid levels) and sends the readings to a computer. Early results corroborate the initial chemical testing.

So what does this mean for you? If you are on a low-acid diet or a sensitive stomach – our darker roasts may be worth a taste.

On behalf of our entire organization, I would like to express our heartfelt condolences and extend all of our thoughts and prayers to the nation of Haiti, and indeed to everyone affected globally by the catastrophic earthquake that occurred this week.

Seeing them is truly a majestic, emotional experience. Every single one of our employees is passionate about the program, and we have constant reminders of why we will continue to serve even more.”
